It’s the title of a book I found – a journal to capture thoughts and feelings regarding loss. When I saw it, I thought, “Perfect! This is something that the boys and I can do together in the new year as we move through this second year of John’s death.”
So you can imagine how absolutely delighted and thrilled I was when Miss Meredith, the grief counselor, shared with me that this book is a part of the process the boys are experiencing with their groups at school.
John at MHS. Jake at MMW.
I was further impressed to learn that two of her colleagues in the Growing Through Grief program wrote the book, based on their own personal and professional experiences with death.
I have already shared copies with another widow and widower, with the hope that it may be a tangible way for all of us to reflect and record this new set of feelings.
I am looking forward to working through this with myself, and my boys.
